Chatham County Group Homes, Inc.

CCGH operates under the advocacy of Cardinal Innovations, the ARC of North Carolina (HUD), and the respective county Departments of Social Services with a client population area composed primarily of Orange, Person, and Chatham counties.  Services are directed towards developmentally disabled adults and include room and board, personal assistance, supervision, and training with goal planning to assist in the development of self-help skills.  Clients have functional limitations in three or more of the major life activities comprised of self-care, receptive understanding, expressive language learning, mobility, self-direction or motivation, capacity to live independently, and economic self-sufficiency.

CCGH’s expertise lies in its ability to furnish an individually planned and coordinated program that addresses the combination(s) and/or sequence(s) of services required to enhance the life experience of its clients.  CCGH maintains eight homes with fulltime staffing and supervision along with a full complement of meals, private rooms, laundry, dining, and entertainment areas.  An adult daycare center is available for those clients who cannot hold outside jobs or activities and includes meals, a resting area, activities areas, and support from county agencies.

Nationally Accredited

CCGH is accredited by The Council on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)

National Accreditation is now required.   CCGH began an early accreditation process in 2008, receiving a three year certificate each time from the Council on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.  We have received recognition for a survey that was deficiency free.  According to the survey team CCGH was rated in the top three percent internationally for having no deficiencies.  Our goal is to keep our certifications deficient free.
